BCG was founded by Dr. Dwayne L. Buckingham in 2008 after he served nearly a decade in the United States Air Force as a commissioned officer. As a licensed clinical psychotherapist with over 24 years of experience in delivering clinical treatment, training, coaching, and consulting with more than 40,000 persons worldwide, Dr. Buckingham uses his knowledge and expertise in human behavior and development to help clients find solutions in problems.
BCG’s client-centered solution framework is rooted in Dr. Buckingham’s belief that clients are experts in defining their challenges and primarily use consulting, coaching, and counseling as tools to help them develop solutions and achieve results.

Dr. Dwayne Buckingham

Dr. Dwayne L. Buckingham is the President and CEO of Buckingham Consulting Group, LLC. He is also a licensed clinical psychotherapist, retired USPHS officer, decorated USAF veteran, relationship expert, resilience guru, author x 18, film producer x 4, executive coach, and consultant with over 25 years of experience. Dr. Buckingham has served more than 40,000 persons, leaders, couples, groups, and families worldwide. He specializes in helping clients overcome adversity, hardship, and emotional distress and is committed to providing superb coaching, consulting, counseling, and organizational training.
In recognition of his service to this country, Dr. Buckingham has received a Meritorious Service Medal, twelve Commendation medals, a National Defense Service Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, six Achievement Medals, thirteen Unit Medals, a COVID-19 Pandemic Campaign Medal and a Presidential Citation.
He believes that clients are better capable of achieving their goals and sustaining results when they are placed in the center of creating and implementing the solutions. This belief establishes the foundation for BCG’s client-centered solution framework.
Dr. Buckingham is an ICF Certified Coach, a member of the National Association of Social Workers, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and is Board Certified by the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work.
When Dr. Buckingham isn’t empowering individuals, leaders, communities, and organizations, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sandia, and two children, DJ and Layla.
Areas of Expertise: Business Operations and Project Management
In her position as Chief Operating Officer, Verona is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the BCG. She ensures that proper operational controls, administrative support, and reporting procedures are in place to promote the company culture and vision. Additionally, she provides financial strength and operating efficiency, sets comprehensive goals for performance and growth, establishes policies, and assists the CEO in all matters of importance.
Verona gained extensive business operations and leadership knowledge while serving in the United States Army and Air Force for over 31 years. Verona joined BCG in 2020 and has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to ensuring operational efficiency and BCG’s success.
